NHL to put a 2nd team in Atlanta
Shocking new for Winnipeg and Hamilton hockey fans hoping to see more NHL teams in Canada in the near future, it appears the NHL has rejected Balsillie offer and approved a transaction between Coyotes owner and an investor group in Houston to relocate the financially troubled Phoenix Coyotes to Atlanta. Gary Bettman has approved the sale because he thinks Atlanta has a large enough population to support two NHL hockey teams and is confident it will work when the teams win games.
