The past two games’ attendance was listed as 2823 and 3104. From my perspective, upwards of 1600 people must have been in the washrooms at any given time because the most I ever eyeballed was probably about 1500.My question is, the club obviously lies about the true attendance, but I’m not sure why. Who do they think they’re kidding with these obviously highly inflated numbers? Are they attempting to fudge the true state of attendance at games to try to cover up the dreadful job they do in trying to both keep existing fans and recruit new ones? Are they trying to have the league believe that they have half-decent turnouts? I’ll bet that our Memorial Cup bid presentation includes “funny” attendance figures rather than true attendance.Also does the city get it’s cut from the “funny” figures or the actual head count?
