I think he went a bit overboard with that hit. That being said, I don’t think he intended to hurt him. He was screened by the goalie a bit and didn’t see how directly the guy was coming at him. Hope he is alright. Would be a shame if he could never play hockey again.

i feel bad for the kid who got hurt, but he turned. Forwards have made that hit hundreds of times before and its not a dirty hit. Boarding or charging maby, full year suspension absolutley not! I hope the guy who got hurt does recover soon though!!

Hockey equipment that stop bullets? you probably dont play hockey. You gotta do your helmet up for it to stay on, and the kid who got hurt had his chinstrap done up way too loose, thats why his bucket flew off. Your comparing it to rollerball like come on guy thats not even cloce. Yea its a game, these kids are playing at a level that can make or break careers, and last time i checked the rule book in this game, theres a physical aspect known as body checking!
