Great Prices On Sports Equipment Online

Hockey is a great sport for all over fitness and wellbeing, and it exercises every part of the body when training and playing in matches. Many people enjoy playing hockey regularly, and it can be a great way to socialise with friends as well as staying fit and healthy. Hockey equipment can often take a good deal of wear and tear during use, so it is a good idea to invest in high quality sticks, balls and nets to ensure that they will have a long life.

Hockey equipment can sometimes be expensive, but it can be a good investment to choose higher quality items that will need replacing less frequently. Most players will choose to invest in their own hockey stick, and this is a great way to choose the hockey equipment that is right for you. There are many different brands of hockey equipment such as sticks available, and there are different styles, sizes and weights of stick available for junior and adult players.

There are also various different options for stick grips to make them easier and more comfortable to hold, so investing in your own stick is a good way to find the perfect hockey equipment for you.

Clubs and teams will have to invest in a variety of hockey equipment for new and existing players. This will include spare sticks, hockey balls, nets and possibly even spare items of kit such as shin pads or goal keeping hockey equipment. Teams may also need equipment for use during practice sessions such as coloured tabards for marking different teams, cones and other ground markers.

This can all mount up and become costly when searching for new items. A good idea is to search for new or replacement items of kit or equipment online. There are a huge range of websites that can offer well known brands of equipment such as Adidas, Slazenger and Grays. Most websites will be able to offer a much cheaper price than any high street sports stores, because they do not have to spend money on store rental and outfitting, shop staff and store front advertising.

This is a great option for customers who know which items of equipment or kit they need, and are looking for a cheaper price. This can also be a good place to look for team kit that will be used during matches. Lots of hockey teams will decide to wear matching kit during play, which helps to create a strong team image and bring players together. This is another instance where buying in bulk can be expensive, but better deals may be available online.

Some sites may provide special offers for customers who are buying in bulk, and as more items are bought the final cost results in a lower price per item. This is a great choice for teams who are looking to buy matching or co-ordinating kit, and large orders may also qualify for lower delivery rates, or the order may even be delivered free! Shopping online is a great way to keep costs down and still find a great range of high quality equipment and kit.

Kory Cooper

How does this guy avoid any scrutiny on this board? Parks and Peters are both big parts of good teams with solid numbers who weren't good enough to keep.
We get a high NHL pick in a trade who has regressed and honestly there must have been 20 goalies under his "care" since he was made goalie coach in
the Hulton years. His work on the mgmt side with the V's aside….he's a bad goalie coach and we clearly need a change here.

Cormier hit

Many Canadian hockey fans had issues during the World Juniors with the “leadership” displayed by Canadian captain Patrice Cormier, since his idea of leadership seemed to be to cheap shot as many opponents as possible.

Well, he has done it again in the QMJHL last night, and it is not pretty. I have to warn you before you click on that link – the victim is knocked unconscious, strikes his face on the ice and begins convulsing. So, if you don’t want to see that, don’t watch the video.
You know you’ve done something wrong when that gentleman Patrick Roy calls the police to complain about the hit. My two bits: that has to rank as one of the dirtiest deliberate headhunting hits I have ever seen. It is a textbook case of what the game of hockey needs to get rid of, and suspension for the rest of the season (thus ending Cormier’s junior career) is the absolute minimum that the QMJHL should be looking at here. They are powerless to suspend him beyond this season since the AHL/NHL/whatever bush league this guy is in next year are unlikely to honor any CHL suspensions.
Strangely though, New Jersey Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello doesn’t think a season-long suspension is required. Lou’s bias may be showing here since Cormier is a Devils prospect but the fact that a prominent NHL G.M. doesn’t think this incident is serious enough to warrant a 25-30 game suspension (or however many games Cormier’s QMJHL team could be expected to play) in junior is just another example of all that is wrong with the NHL’s attitude towards deliberate head shots.

Monday notes

Some notable stuff this morning….

First, how about the journey of Tri-City goaltender Alex Pechurskiy over the last four weeks….started the season in the KHL, where he got little playing time. Got cut from the Russian WJC team and came over to the WHL to play for the Americans. Six games there – with a 1.84 GAA and .936 sv% – and he gets a call-up to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins on an emergency basis. Goes there expecting to just open the gate for the Penguins-Canucks game in Vancouver on Saturday night but ends up getting tossed into action after the starter – AHLer John Curry – stunk up the joint. Pechurskiy stops 12 of 13 Canucks shots in relief and gets named the game’s #3 star for stopping the bleeding.
He only signed a one-game contract so he has to return to the Americans now, but the chance to play in the NHL has to have been a big thrill for a guy who spent the first half of the season riding the pine in the Russian league.
I noticed though that Pechurskiy had to borrow a set of pads from Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, as apparently Pechurskiy’s own pads are illegal in the NHL. Which makes me wonder….I thought the WHL and NHL were using the same equipment rules….which means Pechurskiy’s pads would be illegal in the WHL too? Could it be that the WHL is actually not using the same equipment rules as the NHL? I should investigate that if I have time.
The hottest team in the WHL today? Undoubtedly the Kootenay Ice, who have now won a franchise-record 12 straight games. In that span they have gone from not being in a playoff position, to being within one point of having home ice for the first round of the playoffs. And they haven’t been beating up on patsies – those 12 wins include six victories over Calgary (3 times!), Medicine Hat, Saskatoon, and Spokane. You have to consider the Ice a strong contender if they can keep up this pace.
I see the Pats’ Jordan Eberle is on pace to accomplish a rare feat in the hockey world – 50 goals in 50 games. He currently has 34 goals in 33 games and with the Pats having 24 games left, continuing on this pace would see Eberle end up with 59 goals in 57 games. I can’t even remember the last time anyone scored 50 in 50 in the WHL……must have been back in the old shoot-out-the-lights days in the 8o’s.
It looks like it’s better than the Crushed Can already….
