Ovechkin to Debut in Eastern Motors Ad

Thanks to both Japers’ Rink and DC Sports Bog for pointing to these videos just posted over at the Eastern Motors Blog. From the looks of it, Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin has broken through another barrier in the DC sports scene, as he’ll soon be featured in an Eastern Motors ad with none other than Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley. This clip, and another after the jump, are both raw footage from behind the scenes rather than the finished ads, which ought to start airing here in the DC area shortly. Watch and enjoy.

What is a good brand of hockey skates for narrow feet?

I’ve been using Nike Bauer Supreme Enforcers, which were only 50 bucks but are much too wide. My feet move around inside them a lot, I’m thinking I should pony up a little more dough for a pair that actually fits. Among Mission, Tour, Easton, RBK, CCM and higher-end Nike Bauers which would be a good choice for long narrow feet? I wear 9.5 size shoes. Thanks!

It is important that you try on the skates. For example: My son can only wear CCM. All the others do not seem to fit as well. I like the Nike Bauer better for me.

Fernandez Struggles In Loss to Rangers

In what was the New York Rangers’ weekly appearance on the NBC game of the week, Nikolai Zherdev scored the game-winning goal late in the third period when he pounced on a fortunate bounce off the end boards and fired it into a wide open net, giving the Rangers a 4-3 win over Boston.

With the game tied, 3-3, late in the third, Rangers defenseman Marc Staal carried the puck into the Boston zone and fired an innocent shot off the boards. Boston goalie Manny Fernandez, who struggled all day, found himself out of position well out of his crease, giving Zherdev the entire net to shoot at.

is this hockey stick any good?

http://www.hockeymonkey.com/mission-hockey-stick-fuel-z10-jr.html
is it good for ice?

Not bad but, at the end of the day, a $60 stick will not play like a $150 one.

So, it really depends on what you currently use and how much of an adjustment it will be to switch to the Mission one.

EDIT: Getthepuck… McInnis finished his career in a TPS one-piece composite stick.
