Sedin-Sedin-Demitra, Wellwood-Sundin-Raymond,

by Farhan Lalji (Posted Sat Jan 10, 2009 1:20 pm)
Since Veenyo has pretty much tried almost every single line combo, I’m still curious to see how Kesler and Burrows would look on the top 6. Since those guys play with a lot of “energy” (most of the time), I’d like to see how that would translate on to the top 6.

Sedin-Sedin-Kesler
Burrows-Sundin-Demitra
Hordichuk-Johnson-Bernier
Wellwood-Raymond-Hansen

Kesler is a right handed shot and has no problem driving the net. His style might be contrasting with the twins….but atleast TRY it out. Worst case scenario – it sucks ass….like many other Veenyo experiments, and you revert back.

Burrows is a pest and has surprisingly soft hands. I was thinking that Burrows could be somewhat reminiscent of how Darcy Tucker played with Sundin in Toronto. I also think Burrows has some untapped offensive potential. A guy like Sundin might be able to bring out?

Hordichuk-Johnson-Bernier may not have the same potential as the BBK line, but I think they’d still be pretty decent as a checking line. Lots of grit, and a good shot blocker. On the 4th line, you could throw out some respectable skill.

While I’m playing fantasy GM, I’ll throw something out here that would probably look good on Eklund’s site.

To Florida: Wellwood, Raymond, draft pick (1st or 2nd).
To Vancouver: Nathan Horton.

Sedin-Sedin-Horton
Demitra-Sundin-Bernier
Burrows-Kesler-Rypien
Hordichuk-Johnson-Pyatt (or Hansen).

THAT team would have some pretty good size. Just throwing that out there.
